Dough Ingredients:
2 cups cake flour (plus extra for work surface)
1 packet instant yeast
3/4 cup warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil (plus 1 extra tablespoon)
3/4 teaspoon salt
1.5 teaspoons sugar
Dough Method:
In a bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, salt, sugar, yeast, warm water, and olive oil, using a wooden spoon. Gradually add the second cup of flour, adjusting as needed until the dough forms and cleanly leaves the bowl. Flour the work surface and knead the dough for about 5 minutes. Coat the dough ball and the inside of a clean bowl with an additional tablespoon of olive oil. Cover the bowl with cling wrap and a towel and let it rise for an hour or until doubled in size.
Toppings Ingredients:
125g mozzarella cheese, grated
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt
20 sliced Fynbos Fine Foods jalapeƱos
5 pieces of Fynbos Fine Foods marinated pepper, chopped
15g feta cheese
2 slices button mushrooms
A handful of baby spinach
1/4 caramelized onion
Assembling Method:
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
Line two baking trays with baking paper and sprinkle with flour.
Once the dough has risen, cut it into two pieces.
Flour the work surface and roll out the dough to your preferred thickness.
Poke the rolled pizza base with a fork and bake in the oven for about 5 minutes or until it starts to puff.
Remove from the oven.
Add Fynbos Fine Foods Pasta Sauce to your preference (usually 4 tablespoons).
Evenly distribute the cheese and add your preferred toppings. P
lace the pizza back in the oven until the base is crispy, and the cheese begins to golden and bubble.
